I first came across this quote about 17 years ago while translating The Godfather of Poker, the fascinating true-life story of Doyle Brunson, a legendary Texas gambler and one of the most iconic poker players in history.
Both the book and the original saying embody a spirit of living boldly, taking risks, and fully experiencing life. It somehow popped into my mind as I started writing this.
Gameweek 38 – wow, what a ride to get there! Some of us might be a bit worn out, some less so, and some have had a time of their lives. And everything suggests it’s not over yet.
Arsenal winning the title in GW37 set the tone for a chaotic ultimate gameweek of the 2025/2026 season.
