GW12 Thought Process: Virgil or not?

The problem everyone is dealing with right now…

Although whirling around on an 80-meter-high swing carousel in Copenhagen’s Tivoli Gardens was certainly fun — well, half fun, as I now have a sore throat, presumably from yelling that ‘I made a terrible mistake‘ as soon as it took off — what’s in front of us in terms of FPL is also pretty exciting.

Before we fully delve into planning, mindset, analysis, and other usual matters, two things:

Firstly, thank you all for the tips you sent me for our holiday. They were a great source of inspiration, as we visited many places from those lists!

Secondly, let’s briefly review what happened two weeks ago in Gameweek 11.

It was a Bench Boost week with those lads:

Despite one of the weirdest disallowed goals you’ll see this season, Kiernan Dewsburry-Hall managed to produce a 9-pointer with an assist, a clean sheet, a defensive contribution two-pointer, and an additional bonus point.

The remaining trio combined for a whopping 3 points. Although my prediction that Spurs vs United would be a match with very few good chances was accurate, with the Londoners facing just 0.63 xG, they couldn’t handle two crosses and conceded twice.
